Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur celebrated its XXVIIth Annual Day on 10 & 11 January 2023.
Lt Col Nikhil Nambiar, Weapons Training Officer Brigade of the Guards Regimental Centre Kamptee was the Chief Guest of the Annual Parade conducted on 11th January 23.
The function started off by a Ceremonial Parade. The Parade was commanded by School Cadet Captain Raunak Atram. The Parade comprised by four Armed Columns, one band contingent and 13 Horses and Nishan Toli; which was led by Company Cadet Captain Tejas Pendam.
The other contingents were led by cadet Manish Maraskolhe, Company Cadet Captain Tejas Puramkar, Cadet Ashwin Rathore, Cadet Sambhav Dhakle, Band Major Sahil Sidam and the Riding Contingent was commanded by Cadet Likesh Yadav.
The impressive display of Ceremonial Parade was followed by an Aeromodelling Show, Glimpses of Sports & Unarmed Combat, Gymnastics, Horse Riding demonstration followed by the performance of Pipe and Drum band.
After the demonstrations the formal proceedings were started off by the introduction and welcoming of the Chief Guest Lt Col Nikhil Nambiar. Addressing the audience, Lt Col Nambiar commended the cadets for excellent parade and congratulated the instructors for high standard of training being imparted. He urged the cadets to join the armed forces by putting lots of hard work, dedication, commitment and willpower and appealed them to be roll model for the society.
Following awards were given during the function:-
On this occasion Pipe & Drum troop of the school was felicitated for being adjudged State Champions. Band Major Sahil Sidam received the trophy on behalf of band troop.
Office bearers of CHMES Nagpur Division Shri Suryaratan Daga, Chairman; Arch Dillip Chawhan, Secretary, Shri Rahul Dixit, Treasurer; Shri Shailesh Joglekar, Chairman BMS Nagpur; Col J S Bhandari (Retd), Commandant, BMS Nagpur and Shri Ajay Shirke, Head Master, BMS Nagpur were seated on the dais.
Prominently present for the function were Col A K Sharma, Veteran Joint Director, NCI Nagpur, Col Ravi Ramani, Veteran, GM (Clinical), NCI Nagpur, office bearers of Bharti Krishna Vidya Vihar.
The programme was conducted by Mr Sujit Nandagawali & Mrs Archana Tongo.
On 10 January 2023 Science Exhibition was organized wherein total 30 exhibits were displayed by the cadets. The theme for this year’s Science Exhibition was “Evolution of Indian Science for Aatmanirbhar Bharat”. Dr Pranita Umredkar, General Manager Nagpur Smart City & Mr Ashish Kohale, Dept of Physics Hislop College were the judges for the events.
Mr Shekhar Patil, Deputy Director of Sports & Youth Services Nagpur Division was the Chief Guest for the prize distribution ceremony held in the evening.

Best in Band – Beguiler Pawan Masram
